Permanent working is what we know to be ‘traditional’ working, with a full-time contracted position usually for 36-40 hours a week with one company. While many permanent roles operate under the Monday-Friday, 9-5 methods, they can also offer shift work across all 7 days, this independent on the company. allows familiarity which can be more settling.

That is when employers look to Temp or agency roles to fill any gaps or assist at key times in a company’s performance.

Benefits of Temporary Roles

Temporary roles are just that, a temporary contract within a company that can range from a few hours, a few days or even a few months depending on the employers needs.

The key different between Permanent and Temporary roles is that Temporary roles have a definitive end date within the contract before the role commences.

Unlike Permanent roles, there is no grace or training period with many Temporary roles, you are expected to be able to hit the ground running and assist the existing teams with achieving their objectives.

While today, many employers are allowing their Permanent staff more flexibility within their working week with more focus on a work life balance, a Temporary role allows for completely ownership over your work-life balance.
